Today’s Sip Sip!

Dear Sip Sippers,

Since 2002, we have found the outpouring of love and support for our little restaurant truly overwhelming.

After much reflection, we have decided to make it official:  Sip Sip on Harbour Island is permanently closed.

Jim and I have moved to nearby Spanish Wells for a new chapter in our lives.

Sip Sip in Marina Village , Atlantis
will continue our tradition of homemade food and home-grown Bahamian hospitality.

Thank you all for making us your number one lunch spot on Harbour Island for so many years.

(And yes, I’m still working on that cookbook!)

Julie and Jim

What's The
Sip Sip, Man?

Sip Sip (local slang for “gossip”), overlooks the pink sand beach of Harbour Island and serves "Bahamian with a twist" dishes made with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.

Julie Lightbourn, whose family has owned the Sip Sip property for over fifty years, turned her family land into a restaurant in 2002, and thus Sip Sip was born.

Sip Sip’s blackboard menu changes daily, depending on what’s fresh and what’s in season, but their famous lobster quesadilla is always on!
